If you’ve reached the point in your life where you want to reclaim your pre-baby body and have a bit youthful energy to boot, then this post is for you.
Dustin Maher has written a fantastic new book called Fit Moms for Life: How to Have Endless Energy to Outplay your Kids. In this book he chronicles the successes of 31 mothers who used Dustin’s fitness and weight loss program with stellar successes. Armed with personal stories with before and after photos, Dustin takes you through the five pillars of fitness: Mindset, Nutrition, Strength Training, Burst Training, and Environment. Ultimately leading to the end goal: Staying Fit for Life.
I was sent a copy of this book for review and I have to admit I was a bit skeptical at first. I mean, a book about fitness for moms written by a guy? I couldn’t wrap my brain around the concept, but as I read the book and learned a bit more about his background, it was easy to see that he is sincere in what he is writing about and truly does care. Dustin’s inspiration to help moms comes from his nurturing upbringing and continued close relationship with his own mom. The concepts in the book are geared toward moms, but would be good for anyone who wants to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle.
In the book, Dustin says that this is not the only program that will work and I have great respect for that. This is just one of the programs you can use to be healthy and fit. In the book there are great tips and recipes to get you started. The stories of successes of other moms help to give you a morale boost. The program itself is different than many of the others I have looked into and I find it intriguing.
Dustin Maher says:
Traditional Cardio Doesn’t Lose Fat
You Can’t Work Out to Compensate for Poor Eating
See Results 9 Times Faster With Burst Training
Learn ONE Exercise That Shrinks a Waistline WITHOUT diet changes
Burn Fat While You Sleep
A Healthy Environment Equals A More Fit Family
Sound good? You may be asking, what’s the catch? It does require a change in lifestyle and eating habits which should not come as a surprise. We all know, if you want something, you have to work for it and attaining a fit body is no different. So when you are ready to make some lifestyle changes and put in some sweat, I recommend picking up this book and never looking back. I’m sure you will find it inspiring.
